HELLO THERE!

So I’m Ross, born and raised in Perth but I’ve been in Aberdeen 20 years now since 2006, when I moved here and studied animal care. I live here with my son Munro and beautiful partner Kinga. I’m an outdoor lover at heart, whether that’s exploring some forest trails, meandering along a beach or my favourite place, up mountains. Up in the mountains is where my photo journey began, just trying to capture the beautiful views I was seeing everywhere.

I love meeting new people and believe the best photos come from the real moments, ones where your simply interacting with each other. My style is natural, relaxed and full of emotion from a candid approach. I will still guide where and when needed though of course. I’ll keep things fun, I’ll crack jokes (no promises they will be any good), hype you up and help you forget the camera is there. I want your images to be you, whether that’s laughing until your cheeks hurt, tearing up during vows or just being silly with each other.

Things I Love

  • Lego - I love a good Lego set, if it’s a Lord of the Rings set then all the better.

  • Camping - Growing up camping was a regular family holiday, I'll take a night under canvas over a hotel any day. (I'll make an exception if the hotel is in somewhere like the Caribbean!)

  • Mountains - My happy place is up on a mountain summit with my tent, just taking in the incredible views, enjoying the peace and quiet, I'll never tire of that feeling. I’ve ticked off around 120 of the Munro’s from the list.

  • Movies - The Lord of the Rings triology is by far my favourite set of movies.

  • Plants - I love a good houseplant, Alocasia are by far my favourites.

  • Animals - Animals have always been part of my life, I wanted to be a Veterinarian when I was a kid. I studied animal care, got work experience at a reptile shop and a safari park, fostered cats, started photographing dogs and ultimately ended up here photographing amazing couples wedding days. Currently we only have a Russian Dwarf Hamster at home called Speedy.

  • Music - My spotify playlist goes from Nirvana, Meatloaf, The Red Hot Chili Peppers to 90’s pop, Bob Marley and everything inbetween.

  • The Outer Hebrides - My favourite place in Scotland, I could walk the pristine carribean looking beaches forever. Shame the water isnt quite carribean temperature though.

  • Coffee - Mocha is my tipple of choice!

  • My Old Hair - I had it at my belly button at one point. Age took it from me, yes I miss it haha. See below!

Absolutely over the moon with the work Ross has done with our wedding photo’s he managed to capture some of the most beautiful moments without anything looking too staged just properly in the moment me and my husband are very much not centre of attention people so we were so nervous about hiring a photographer but i am so glad we did 10/10 would recommend Ross such a great guy and brilliant photographer thanks again Ross !!
